The best way to find out the answers to those questions is to sit down and discuss them with you. You may have questions and concerns to discuss with us as well. Our initial consultation allows you to determine if you are in the right dentist office for you. If everyone is happy (which is usually the case) – then we move forward to see where you are now.
New Patient Exam
The goal of the New Patient Exam is to discover together the current state of your dental health. This is not about scolding or lecturing – it is about finding our starting point.
Your new patient appointment will include a comprehensive exam to evaluate the health of your teeth, gums, jaw muscles, and joints. In addition, we will take diagnostic photographs and X-rays. We may even create diagnostic models as well. With your current information and these accurate records, Dr. Jeffrey LaFuria can design a customized treatment plan for you. This plan is based specifically on your goals and objectives.
Financial Policy / Dental Insurance
Our office is a fee-for-service practice and therefore payment is normally due at the time services are provided unless other arrangements have been made in advance. Our office accepts Visa, MasterCard, and Discover, as well as cash or checks. For those patients with dental insurance, you can expect your insurance company to reimburse you a portion of our fee. That amount is determined by your coverage as issued by your insurance company. We will file all claims for you, as well as any follow-ups or appeals as needed. We are always available to help you make the best use of the benefits you have available. At all times, you can be confident that we will always provide you with our best services without regard to the limitations imposed by your insurance coverage. Anything else would violate our commitment to you as our patient.
